💗 Going Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness ♟️

Throughout the month of October, Wise Guy’s Chess Club proudly went PINK in support of their Checkmate Breast Cancer Campaign — a heartfelt community initiative dedicated to raising awareness and support for those battling breast cancer.

Through the club’s Sponsor a Board Program, members and supporters purchased customized pink Wise Guy’s Chess Club boards for $50 each. Every sponsored board represented more than just a love for chess — it symbolized hope and compassion. Each sponsorship provided a care package for a breast cancer patient through the club’s partnership with My Sistah’s Pink Journey, a local Detroit nonprofit making a difference in the lives of women undergoing treatment.

By the end of the campaign, Wise Guy’s Chess Club raised an incredible $450, directly funding nine care packages for patients in need.

The club’s efforts show how community, creativity, and compassion can work hand in hand — proving that together, we can truly Checkmate Breast Cancer. 💕
