From Pawns 2 Purpose

“From Pawns 2 Purpose” is an 8-week program designed for youth ages 7–12. This dynamic program runs from April 6th through June 1st, meeting weekly from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM at Zion Chapel Church Christ of Holiness.
“From Pawns 2 Purpose” is more than just a chess program — it’s a character-building experience. Through the game of chess, students develop critical thinking, patience, discipline, confidence, and decision-making skills that extend far beyond the board. Each session combines structured chess instruction, interactive lessons, real-game practice, and engaging activities that promote leadership, teamwork, and personal growth.
Participants will learn foundational chess principles, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship while building friendships in a positive, supportive environment. The program is beginner-friendly while still challenging enough to help returning students sharpen their skills.
At Wise Guy’s Chess Club, we believe every child starts as a pawn — full of potential — and with guidance, mentorship, and opportunity, can grow with purpose. “From Pawns 2 Purpose” is about empowering youth to think ahead, make smart moves in life, and see themselves as leaders both on and off the chessboard.
Spots are limited, and early registration is encouraged.
